Are you really doing everything you can to get what you want? It’s easy to get bummed out and feel like life is working against you. But in all honesty, are you working effectively to get where you want to be? Having to take a realistic look at your efforts can be a painful dose of reality, but it is necessary to grow and accomplish our goals. I’ll admit, there are times where I think I deserve things yet I didn’t put in the legwork to make it happen. Then, when it doesn’t pan out I get discouraged. Things is, I didn’t work for it.
We all have things we want to achieve and at times these goals can seem incredibly difficult. In reality the roadblocks that are in our way are the psychological ones we set up for ourselves. These barriers can seem all too real and keep us frozen in our tracks, believing that we cannot achieve our dreams.
Recently I had to check my anxiety at the door after realizing the only “thing/person” in my way was me. The fear that binds us is a tough place to get out from under. So next time you’re feeling stuck and want to embark on a downward spiral of the Netflix Binge, take a deep breath and remember who it is that you want to be and get after it! 🙂
