Right now, I’m posted up in a new Starbucks. I’ve decided that I’m going to be different and try and write in as many different locations I can. This shouldn’t be too difficult as there are 15 Starbucks locations within a 5 miles radius of my apartment.
I’m starting off a little late this morning. Since I’ve been under the weather, I’ve tried to catch up on some ZZZ’s; a task made extremely difficult due to my neighbor’s 3am sexcapades.
Last night I was abruptly awaken by a noisy headboard ramming my wall, followed by noises that almost didn’t even sound human. I was so pissed that I banged on the wall and said “Shut the F$#% up!!”. Granted I usually try to have some diplomacy and civility in dealing with neighbors, but c’mon, we all know these walls are super thin, have some flippin’ common curtesy and keep the noise level down.
Thankfully she got the message loud and clear, as the noise did stop. I don’t feel guilty in the least. To my dismay I woke up at 8am and could not go back to sleep, so I cleaned up my room and am now trying to whittle down the pile of work that lays before me. Don’t get me wrong, being busy as a freelancer is a great problem to have, especially if they’re paying well.
My goal for today is to knock out a 5 page white paper, 3- 600 word blog posts, revise an article, and finish the 1st draft of website pages. It sounds like a ton of work, but I’m up for the task. Plus, my sister and her husband were kind enough to bring me soup and watch Abbey for me (she ran out the door and didn’t look back. I suspect she’s happy to get a break from my constant coughing and moping.) Â Once I’m done, I can take a much needed break and chillax for the week (maybe even get to Cali, who knows).
Anywho, I’ll be updating you guys on my 100 Day Project tomorrow. This is definitely a challenge that I am enjoying as it forces me to breakthrough some of my writing barriers. That’s all for now, but I promise I’ll have some hilarious stories for you this week, so stay tuned!
